The obvious question

So what do we get out of it?

Mostly your $99 a month. On a booking made through us, 5% — and nothing at all from founding members, permanently.

A marketplace lives on that percentage, which is why it takes a large one and why it will always put its own brand above yours. We don’t: the subscription is the business, so the cut can stay small enough that it never changes what you charge. A page full of sold-out experiences is our proof first and our revenue second — and that order is the whole difference.

This page is about to get its own front door — a place travellers can browse everything our members are running, instead of finding it only if they already know where to look.

Same arrangement, bigger audience, and the smallest cut in the category — 5% for School members, and nothing at all, permanently, for founding members. You keep the booking, the guest and the relationship; we just put the week in front of more people. It works the same whether you host eight for a weekend or forty for a fortnight — a writing retreat, a photography week, a founders’ offsite, a Dungeons & Dragons cruise. If someone is hosting it, it belongs there.

School members are listed first, free. If you are already in, you do not have to do anything — we will come to you when it opens.
