An hour a week that is only about your room.
Retreat coaching, one to one, every week — for people who host retreats, group trips and experiences. $500 a month, month to month.
Most hosts do not need more teaching. They need somebody to look at the actual page, the actual budget and the actual date, and say what to change this week.
You are not short of information. You are short of a second opinion.
There is a library, a podcast and a thousand posts about how to run a retreat. None of it has seen your page. None of it knows that your deposit is spent, that your list is 340 people, or that you are four weeks out and half full.
Coaching is the part that cannot be written down in advance, because it depends entirely on what you have actually got.
A standing hour, every week, with your numbers already open.
Weekly, one to one, on video. The same person each time, so nobody spends the first ten minutes catching up.
Retreat coaching is not general business coaching with a travel theme. Every session is about one specific room, on one specific date, that you have to fill.
- You bring the artefact, not the question. The page, the budget, the email, the ad. We look at the real thing. Advice about a description of your page is worth very little.
- Between calls, you can send work over. A draft page, a price you are nervous about, an email before it goes. You get a written read back — not a full rebuild, but an answer while it still matters.
- The four things it is usually about. The page is not converting. The price is wrong. The launch has stalled four weeks out. Or the numbers do not work at the capacity you will realistically sell.
- You leave with an order of operations. Not a list of everything that could be better — the two things to change before next week.
- The School is included for as long as you are coaching: the community, the whole Library, the courses and the group office hours. You are not asked to buy the same teaching twice.
The School is a room. This is an hour.
The School already gives you weekly office hours with Anna, Stacy or Robert, and for most hosts that is the right thing and the cheaper thing. This page exists so the difference between the community and one-to-one retreat coaching is not fuzzy.
| The School — $99/mo | Coaching — $500/mo | |
|---|---|---|
| The call | Group office hours, weekly | One to one, weekly, only yours |
| Who prepares | You bring a question | We have read your numbers first |
| Your turn | When the community gets to you | The whole hour |
| Between calls | Post in the community | Send work over, get a written read |
| The Library | All eleven shelves | All eleven shelves — included |
| Best for | Almost everybody | A date on the calendar and money on the line |
If you are working out what you are building, do not buy this. Start at $19 and come back when there is a date.
One of the three of us, matched to what is actually broken.
Three people, three halves of one job. You are matched to whoever owns the thing you are stuck on, and you keep that person.
- Stacy — filling the room. The page, the list, the launch, the ads, the price. Twenty years in marketing, and group events since 2005.
- Anna — running the week. The itinerary, the venue, the operations, the budget. More than twenty-five retreats since 2018.
- Robert — being found in the first place. Search, answer engines, and the long game that fills next year rather than this one. Twenty-five years of it.
If what is broken changes — and it usually does between launch and delivery — you can change who you are with.
How to host a retreat in your coaching business.
This is the most common version of retreat coaching we do — a coach who already has clients, adding a retreat.
You already have the hardest thing: people who trust you and have paid you before. What you have not done is turn that into eight seats, a deposit schedule and a week that pays for itself.
It is a specific problem and it is not the same as starting from nothing. Your list is warm but small. Your one-to-one work already earns; the retreat has to beat that hourly, or it is an expensive holiday you are hosting. And the thing that fills a coaching practice — one good conversation at a time — does not fill a room by itself.
- What a retreat seat has to be worth next to what an hour of your coaching already earns, so the week is a business decision rather than a leap.
- How to sell it to a list that trusts you without spending that trust. The announcement, the sequence, and how often is too often when these are your actual clients.
- Whether to run it as an extension of the coaching or as its own offer — different price, different page, different person buying it.
- What the week does to your delivery. Facilitating a group for four days is not eight one-to-ones stacked up, and the first one teaches most people that the expensive way.
Anna has run more than twenty-five of these since 2018. Stacy has filled them. That is the whole conversation.
$500 a month. Month to month.
Four calls a month, the work you send between them, and The School included. No term, no minimum, no notice period. Stop at the end of any month.
Places are limited and always will be. This is an hour of one of three people’s weeks, so the number we can carry is small. When it is full it is full, and we will say so rather than quietly making the calls worse.
Most hosts take it for the run-up to a launch and stop when the room is full. That is the right way to use it. We would rather you left because it worked than stayed because you were locked in.
Questions people ask about coaching.
How is this different from the weekly office hours in The School?
Office hours are a group call. Coaching is a standing hour that is only yours.
In office hours you bring a question, you get an answer, and you hear twenty other people’s questions too — which is often the most valuable part of it. Nothing here replaces that.
Coaching is the other thing: nobody else in the room, nothing deferred because someone else’s launch is more urgent this week, and the person on the call has read your numbers before it starts. The difference in price is the difference between a room and an hour.
What actually happens on the call?
You bring the thing that is stuck, and we look at the real version of it.
Usually it is one of four: the page is not converting, the price is wrong, the launch has stalled four weeks out, or the numbers do not work at the capacity you will realistically sell.
We open the actual page, the actual budget, the actual email — not a description of them. You leave with what to change and in what order.
Do I have to commit to a term?
No. Month to month, and you can stop at the end of any month.
No notice period and nobody to talk you out of it. Most hosts take it for a launch run-up and stop when the room is full.
Is Guild membership included?
Yes — The School, the Guild’s $99 tier, for as long as you are coaching.
The room, the whole Library across eleven shelves, the courses and the group office hours. You are not asked to buy the same teaching twice.
I run group trips or own a venue, not retreats. Does this work?
Yes. A women’s reset in Costa Rica, a writing week in Michigan, twelve people going to the Indy 500, a lakehouse with dates to fill — underneath, it is one job.
A fixed number of seats, a fixed date, and a deadline that does not move. That is the job the coaching is about, and it does not change with the theme.
I’m a coach, not a retreat host. Is this for me?
Yes — it is one of the most common versions of this.
You already have people who trust you and have paid you before, which is the part most first-time hosts are missing entirely. What you have not done is turn that into eight seats, a deposit schedule and a week that pays for itself.
The questions are specific to you: what a seat has to be worth next to what your coaching hour already earns, how to sell to a warm list without spending the trust, and whether the retreat is an extension of the coaching or its own offer. More on that here.
What is the difference between coaching and Done For You?
Coaching means you build it and somebody senior checks your work. Done For You means we build it.
If what you are short of is judgement, coach. If what you are short of is hands and the date will not move, hand it over. See Done For You.
Tell us what you are hosting.
Whether you are a retreat host with a date booked, a group-trip organiser, or a coach working out how to host a retreat in your coaching business — start here.
There is no application and no form to fill in. Email us what you are working on, when it happens, and what is stuck. We will tell you honestly whether coaching is the right thing — and if $19 a month would do the job instead, we will say that.
Or start where most people should: The Community, $19 a month.
