A School benefit

List your retreat.

Fill this in and your retreat goes on the retreats page — usually within a minute of you pressing the button. Fourteen answers and one photo.

Your booking link goes straight to your own page. Not to a checkout of ours, not through a tracking redirect. We are not the merchant and we take nothing from the booking.

Listing is included with The School, the Guild’s $99 tier. The Community tier at $19 does not include one. We check the email you give us against the membership, so use the address you joined with. See what The School includes.

Who is hosting

Shows as “Hosted by Alisa Cardenas”.

Shows after your name — “Howl at the Moon Sauna Co.” Leave blank if you host under your own name.

Shows as “with Wandering Roots”. Blank if it is just you.

So we can match this to your membership, and tell you when it is up. Never published.

The event

The headline — “Icelandic Bathing Expedition”. Its own name, not a description of it.

What someone does there and what it feels like, not a schedule. Write for a stranger deciding whether to click. 0 words — aim for 40 to 60.

Three fields on purpose. Free text here is what makes the page inconsistent — it renders as “2–8 November 2026, six nights”.

Specific enough to picture, not an address — “Lake Gíslholtsvatn, southern Iceland”.

Just the number. The lowest price if rooms differ.

Adds “payment plans available”.

Reads as a run-on list on the page — accommodation, meals, transfers, excursions, guides.

Optional on purpose. A number if you have one, or a phrase like “an intentionally small group”. Plenty of hosts would rather not publish a seat count, and the page respects that.

Where to send people

The main button. Straight to where money changes hands, on your own site. Must be https.

The second button — “See the whole week”. Often the same site’s home page.

The photo

Landscape, at least 1400px wide. Of the place or the experience — not a logo, not a portrait crop. JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 12MB.

You know what the picture is; we would only be guessing from a thumbnail. This is what someone using a screen reader gets instead of the photo — “A geothermal lagoon in Iceland at dusk, steam rising off the water under a dark sky.”

We run a few automatic checks — dates, the booking link, the photo size, your membership. Everything clear and it is live immediately. Anything odd and we hold it, tell you, and come back to you. Either way you hear from us.

After you press the button

What happens to it.

No queue, and nobody retyping your answers into a page.

  • It publishes itself. The checks run in a few seconds and a clean listing is on the retreats page before you have closed the tab.
  • If something trips a check, it is held — not lost. We tell you, we fix it with you, and nothing needs re-entering.
  • When your dates pass, it moves itself. The listing drops into Past experiences further down the page. The booking button and the price come off; the dates stay, because they are the evidence it ran. You never have to ask us to take an old one down.
  • Nothing is ever deleted. A finished retreat keeps working for you — a page of retreats that actually happened is the best argument for the next one.
